USTA NATIONAL LINES TRAINING CLINIC
There will be a lines
training clinic for officials who desire be certified as line umpires and for
prospective folks who want to become tennis officials at the Boars Head Tennis
Club on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The
training will begin at 2 PM and last until approximately 5 PM. There will be class room instruction followed
by on court OJT practical exercises.
You don't have to
bring anything but a willingness to learn and a love for the game of
tennis. Those who show promise will also
get a chance to work on court Sunday through Tuesday at the $50,000 Women's
Challenger being conducted April 26 – May 3, 2009. There is no charge for the training and you
will be responsible for your own meals and accommodations while undergoing this
training. Also be advised that you will
not be paid while training at this event.
